North Sheep is an annual event organised by the National Sheep Association (NSA) for the sheep farming industry in the North of England. The event was held at Bradford House Farm in Belsay, Northumberland this year but the event is also held at different locations b-annually, and typically attracts over 8,000 visitors.
North Sheep is a showcase for the sheep industry, with exhibits, wool handlers, and other businesses involved in the sheep sector. There are also educational displays, demonstrations, and competitions, as well as opportunities to meet and network with other sheep farmers.
North Sheep is a great opportunity for Dugdale Nutrition to meet with potential customers and discuss their needs. We were able to talk to sheep farmers about their feeding practices and how Dugdale Nutrition's products could help them improve their flocks. Not only this but we are also able to network with other industry professionals, such as sheep breeders, shearers, and wool handlers. We were able to learn about the latest trends in the sheep industry and share ideas with other businesses.
Our Sales Manager Stuart Rhodes reported;
"On Wednesday 7th June we attended North Sheep with a trade stand, this bi-annual event organised by the NSA (National Sheep Association) was hosted this time by the Woodman family at their 930 acre Bradford House Farm, Belsay, Ponteland.
The event was well attended with over 8000 visitors passing through the gates on the day, regarded by many as one of the most important sheep events of the year North Sheep provided a great opportunity for producers and trade alike to view what was on offer with stands representing feed and nutrition, machinery and handling, technology, breeding/ genetics, and breed societies. There was also the opportunity to listen to seminars and take part in discussions and debates along with the chance to take a tour of the farm.
Events like North Sheep are an important part of our business as they allow us to not only catch up for a brew with existing customers and discuss their progress and plans but they also give opportunity to showcase what we can offer to prospective customers, and we were pleased to welcome a large number of those to the stand across the day.
The positive feeling of the day alongside the strength of the industry when it comes together is something we should all champion and be proud of, we look forward to the next event."
