Dugdale Nutrition continue to be proud to support and sponsor Gisburn Auction Mart's 'Dugdale Dairy Day' on the first Thursday of every month. These sales always attract an exceptional show of cattle, and this last Thursday was no exception! We would like to thank this week's judge: Albert Holden for his time and careful consideration over the pre-sale show.
Leading the pedigree heifer class show this week, with first and second rosettes was Andrew Jennings with a white heifer giving 32lt realising £2320, closely beaten by an 'eye-catching' jet-black 30lt heifer realising £2680 (pictured below)
Today's non-registered class winner was Paul Rowland with his beauty of a 32lt heifer, who realised fierce bidding in the sale ring, selling for £2620 (pictured below)
Last class of the day; New Calved Cow class was taken by Red House Farming in first and second place with two beautiful second calvers, first place realising £2550 and second place realising £2120 (pictured below)
On behalf of the DN Team, we would like to thank all vendors for their continued support and entries to these iconic sales, and congratulations to all prize winners on the day.
