We are delighted to report that 12 year old Matthew Bentley from Kepwick got an early Christmas present this year when his home bred Beltex X lamb topped the market in the Prime Sheep Sale on Saturday 19th December at Thirsk Auction Mart.
Weighing 43kg and fed on DN Intensive Lamb Nuts, the lamb was top of a flying trade on the day and sent the keen young farmer home with a nice cheque in his pocket and a big smile on his face. Well done Matthew from everyone at Dugdale Nutrition!
Also taking first prize, this time at Skipton Auction Markets Christmas Show and Sale of Lowland Lambs, was RKR Wood of Stokesley with his Suffolk x lambs. Weighing 48kg and also fed on Intensive Lamb Nuts, these lambs sold at £119 to Robertshaws Farmshop. Congratulations to the Wood family.
DN Intensive Lamb Nuts are a fully mineralised 6mm nut, ideal for feeding to growing lambs. They contain fairly high levels of a range of starch and sugar sources to encourage an efficient growth and finish, and also include Ammonium chloride to reduce risk of calculi in tup lambs.
