This month the DN employee recognition award has been presented to Debbie Giles for her outstanding effort.
This award was given to Debbie a little different than usual, it was her own peers who had nominated her and the Senior Management Team had fully agreed with them.
Clitheroe Transport manager, Dan Brown says, " Debbie was nominated for employee of the month award by her peers, she had been singled out for her can do attitude and ability to be flexible especially when it came to stepping into the role of night loading at short notice, at the end of February / beginning of March.
She has often gone above and beyond and always has a smile on her face, she has also helped mentor our new night loader recruit over the last few weeks.
Debbie is often to be found with a pressure washer in her hand and is often covered from head to toe in dirt with her day-to-day role as transport cleaning and loading assistant, Debbie does this with a smile on her face.
Debbie is a key member of the transport department and wider DN team".
Clitheroe production manager, Simon Stock added "It was a few of the production team that put her forward for the award due to her willingness to help anybody at any time. This is also always done with a smile no matter what the weather or time of day".
