Dugdale Nutrition very proudly attended Agri-Expo at Borderway Mart, the UK's largest Autumn livestock showcase and the place where farming communities meet and compete.
We were joined by a few of the DN Sales Team which included, DN Sales Manager Stuart Rhodes, Specialist Product Manager Tom Rigg, Sales Development Manager Garry Starkie and Sales Specialist David Miller, who presented the prizes for class 7 - Continental Steers.
Also in attendance was Mike Curley and Marcus Clark who are part of the Marketing Team, helping out and capturing all the magical moments.
Dugdale Nutrition took over three stands, two of which full of information, games and goodies. Plenty of people in attendance were able to pick up our Tech Briefs we had on the stand, along with our technical newsletters, which are emailed out to customers monthly.
One game we had on the stand was the 'Where's Dolly' competition, in which you had to put on special glasses to be able to see what was behind the secret screen and find two of our characters. This game was fun for all ages. Alongside this, we also had a pick 'n' mix for the child in you.
Our third pen, hosted two Angus cross cows with Charolais cross calves at foot, with thanks to Mr. Ian Bell from Hall Bank Gate Farm, Brampton. Not only there for your viewing pleasure but a chance to 'Guess the Cost' per kilogram of daily live weight gain, from the March born calves. Fed on DN iGrow 16 from the 1st week in August until the show date. This competition raised many a question, such as: can you afford NOT to feed your calves? How much is an unfed calf worth at auction compared to a fed calf?
Congratulations to the closest answer from Richard Wood at Stokesley. The answer for the competition was 0.55p per kg of daily live weight gain. If you would like to discuss this topic further, please contact either David Miller or Stuart Rhodes by following this link - Sales | Dugdale Nutrition
Few words on the event from our Sales Manager, Stuart Rhodes.
"The retail sales team recently attended Borderway Agri Expo at Carlisle with a trade stand, this is an event we have attended for a number of years now as its 1 of the premier livestock shows in the north of England. It provides us with a great opportunity to catch up and have a brew with customers whilst also showcasing our products, services and new developments to both existing customers and potential new customers alike. It’s nice also to see customers who are showing stock and the results of their hard work and the performance of the feeds we manufacture and sell. Overall, another successful and very busy day, we look forward to seeing everyone back at the event next year!"
Dugdale Nutrition would like to thank everyone who came to the show, everyone who visited our stand and supported our competitions. We hope you all had an amazing experience; I know we did. Take a look at our Agri Expo 2022 recap video below...
